We've been discussing how DIA is on the rise and is playing an increasingly significant role in enterprise networks. WAN managers reported that an average 53.88% of their sites were connected with DIA—the most common option among respondents in our WAN Manager Survey.

But what does the data say about current DIA prices and emerging trends?

While it can be useful to compare key global markets that are home to a significant share of corporate offices and internet traffic, it is also important to compare prices across all markets in a given region.

Prices vary by geography due to many factors including physical geography, rules and regulations, competitive landscape, infrastructure costs, and the balance of supply and demand. This post examines DIA prices across major markets in Asia and Oceania.

DIA prices in Asia

The Asia-Pacific (APAC) region is considerably more variable politically, economically, and geographically than some other regions. These factors lead to a wide gap in DIA pricing depending on location. It is key for carriers and enterprises alike to understand how much geography can impact the typical price for internet.

Median GigE and 10 GigE Prices for DIA in Asia (Q1 2026)

  • Developed business centers such as Tokyo, Singapore, and Hong Kong are the most affordable at around $750-$800 a month for GigE and $4,500 for 10 GigE.

  • Thailand, Vietnam, and Indonesia stand out as very expensive markets, especially at the 10 GigE level.

  • Mid-level markets include Taiwan, South Korea, Malaysia, China, and India.

  • Prices vary considerably across the region but are a bit more uniform at the GigE level with a relative standard deviation of 77%, while 10 GigE is a relative standard deviation of 96%.

DIA prices in Oceania

Like APAC, Oceania has physical geography challenges that impact prices, however, the high degree of economic and infrastructural development tamps down prices a bit. Note that for this analysis we leave out small Pacific islands. We only regularly track prices in Guam, and they are substantially higher than Australia and New Zealand. Generally speaking, enterprises with an office on a Pacific island are price takers and have little negotiating power.

  • For both GigE and 10 GigE our median price is the highest in the most prominent markets Sydney and Melbourne. This is not an indication that individual carriers charge more in those cities, but rather that our sample for those markets includes providers who only offer service in the region in those cities and are sometimes higher priced.

  • Most providers offer DIA service at uniform or very similar prices across all of the Australian and New Zealand markets we cover.
